The original incarnation of Friday Night Fire began in 1994. It was weirder than anything we’ve done in recent years… Belligerent sock puppets, meat-wielding superheroes. Those were strange, heady times my friends.

We shot some videos back in those days which are mercifully lost (or are on VHS, which is as good as lost). You won’t have to suffer through them. They were usually cringe-inducing.

But between the last show of the old Fire (2000 or so) and our rebirth, Gary shot some videos with our buddy Tyson Ibele.

We showed these at our fourth show, on May 22, 2009. The Big One is still an audience favourite.

The Office, below, was named long before the sitcom of the same name was a gleam in Ricky Gervais’s eye, so don’t blame us for any confusion.

Kurt: Well, I guess the right thing to do would be to talk to the coworker first. Let him know I know and try to de-fuse the situation before escalating it... Was that a good answer?
Lanyard: Kurt, there are no right or wrong answers in this. But that was wrong.
